Jan 25, 2010 - thats cool its the same place as the cod mission. didnt think it was actually real

guardcorp Says:

Jan 25, 2010 - @tommy As far as I know most of the radiation is in the soil. Now when you ask how safe is it to visit there, I would have to say that it depends on how close you get to the damn thing. Technically speaking if you wanted to go really close to ground zero I would advise taking potassium iodide (KI) in form of pills. But I think its safe to visit the asphalt areas, since radiation does not really go into that. overall its probably not safe but not super dangerous if your not too close.

strongnoob Says:

Jan 26, 2010 - Lol people didn't think this place was real? AHAHAHAHAH. Read some history. Dayum.

strongnoob Says:

Jan 26, 2010 - Technically yes. Its not nearly as dangerous during the actual event. You can recover from temporary exposure. Your body and mind is capable of fixing your DNA.

strongnoob Says:

Jan 26, 2010 - Wasn't there a military 'radar' base by chernobyl? It was like a HAARP station? Woodpecker I think its called?

dkjess Says:

Jan 26, 2010 - I was there in the summer 2009. It was quite weird but not scary. You just have to be aware of where you go.
